SHAKE IT UP WITH THE OFFICIAL COCKTAILS OF WINTER 2012 DEVOUR DOWNTOWN!


It’s official, the three winning cocktails for each of the sponsored brands – 1800 Tequila, Canadian Club and Grey Goose
– will shake it up during Devour Downtown! Finalists were chosen in each category, ending with one winner in each sponsor’s brand. 

All employees from participating Devour Downtown restaurants were eligible to submit a recipe in one of three categories.

These delicious cocktails will be featured on Devour Downtown restaurant menus during the 14-day event beginning Monday, Jan. 9 through Sunday, Jan. 22. While you devour, indulge and try one of the winning cocktails for yourself!

And as a reminder, the Hilton Indianapolis is the exclusive hotel sponsor of Devour Downtown offering rooms for $119 a night.

1800 Holiday Wish
The drink includes 1800 Tequilla,
cranberries and lime juice
all served in a glass with a sugar rim.

Ingredients:
1800 simple syrup, cranberry juice, triple sec

Instructions:
muddle cranberries and limes with simple syrup. Add ice, cranberry juice and 1800, splash of pomegranate and cranberry juice. Add tripel sec splash of sour mix. Shake in different glass sugar the rim then build 1/2 ice layer of cranberries other 1/2 ice strain into glass.

Hoosier Winter Blend
The drink includes a combination of
Canadian Club, cranberries, oranges and cinnamon with a splash of Sprite.

Ingredients:
Muddle cranberries, oranges and cinnamon stick with bitters and light simple syrup. Add CC and cranberry juice splash of sprite.

Instructions:
shake and strain into a martini glass garnish with cranberry skewer

The drink includes a mix of Grey Goose, blueberry infused wine, St. Germain garnished with a Chilean Tamaya baby pear

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Grey Goose Vodka
1.0 oz Huber Winery Blueberry Infused Dessert Wine
0.75 oz Chilean Tamaya Baby Pear Juice
Splash of St. Germain
Splash of Prosecco
Chilean Tamaya Baby Pear

Instructions:
1. Pour vodka, dessert wine, pear juice & St. Germain in an ice-filled shaker
2. Shake & serve up in chilled martini glass
3. Garnish with Chilean Tamaya Baby Pear
4. Top off with a splash of Prosecco

1800 Tequila
1800 Holiday Wish 1800 simple syrup, cranberry juice, triple sec muddle cranberries and limes with simple syrup. Add ice, cranberry juice and 1800, splash of pomegranate and cranberry juice. Tilted Tequila Grenade 1 1/4 ounce 1800 Reposado Tequila, chilled
1 1/4 ounce Grand Marnier
2 oz. Orange Juice
2 oz. Finest Call Premium Lime Sour
.5 oz Monin Agave Nectar
Shake 1 1/4 oz 1800 Reposado tequila over ice. Strain into 1 1/4 ounce shot glass. Fill a second 1 1/4 oz shot glass with Grand Marnier. In a shaker tin add ice and add in 2 ounces Orange Juice, 2 ounces Finest Call Premium Lime sour, and .5 ounce of Monin Agave Nectar. Shake and strain into a salt rimmed 12 oz. highball glass. Place the two shot glasses in the mouth of the highball glass, side-by-side, with the Grand Marnier shot seated a bit higher. Pull the "pin" or Grand Marnier shot first and hold. This will allow the 1800 Tequila shot to drop into the juice in bomb fashion. Drink the "bomb" first, shooter style, then chase with the shot of Grand Marnier.
Caliente Cocoa 1-1/4 oz 1800 Resposado Tequila
1/2 oz Francesca Hazelnut Liqueur
Hot Cocoa
Whipped Cream
Crushed Hazelnuts
Add 1800 Tequila and Francesca to Coffee Mug
Fill the glass with Hot Cocoa
Top with whipped cream and crushed hazelnuts
Canadian Club
CC Tini cc, nocello, Cherry Heering, peach bitters, orange twist and cherry 2 oz Canadian Club, .75 Nocello, .25 Cherry Heering, 2 dash Peach bitters, Garnish with orange twist and cherry. Serve straight up or on the rocks.
CC Cider Canadian Club, hot apple cider,cinnamon stick 1.5 oz Canadian Club, 4 oz. Hot apple cider garnish with cinnamon stick
Hoosier Holiday Blend Muddle cranberries, oranges and cinnamon stick with bitters and light simple syrup. Add CC and cranberry juice splash of sprite. shake and strain into a martini glass garnish with cranberry skewer
Grey Goose
Spring Blossoms 1/4 oz Luxordo
1 oz Grey Goose Orange
1/4 oz St. Germain
1/4 oz Pimms
1/2 oz Agave
1 oz orange juice
Mix all of the ingredients pour into a pilsner glass over ice and garnish with a slice of fresh star fruit.
THE WORLD TRAVELER 1.5 oz Grey Goose Vodka
1.0 oz Huber Winery Blueberry Infused Dessert Wine
0.75 oz Chilean Tamaya Baby Pear Juice
Splash of St. Germain
Splash of Prosecco

1/2 oz. Whipped Cream
Mix All ingredients, shake and strain into a chilled martini glass
with a crushed ginger snap cookie rim
